Stacy Parkinson is a leader who in her own right has contributed greatly
to the quality of life of her fellow Kansans. Stacy is a native Kansan who
attended Kansas public schools before graduating from Kansas University in
1981 and from KU School of Law in 1984. As a practicing attorney, Stacy has
worked in both the public and private sectors. She has, at one time or another
been a precinct committee person, Co-Chair of the Sunflower House “Valentine
Gala”, of the University of Kansas Cancer Center “Treads & Threads”,
of the Alzheimer’s Association Art Auction”, of the Sunflower
House Capital Campaign, of the SAFEHOME Capital Campaign, and was named Co-Citizen
of the Year by United Community Services of Johnson County.
Stacy Parkinson is also a successful businessperson who has worked in several
enterprises with her husband helping enhance older Kansans’ quality
of life through first-class assisted living facilities. The Parkinson’s
assisted living facilities have received national recognition for design,
and the business has been named as an outstanding business in Northeast Johnson
County. Stacy Parkinson is a dedicated wife and mother of three children Alex,
Sam and Kit. Stacy includes reading, traveling and running as her hobbies.
She also enjoys walking, playing and loving the family's other members, miniature
dachshunds "Sunny" and "Windy".
Stacy Parkinson is a down to earth Kansan who is appreciative of the happiness
and opportunities that she has received from the state and is as dedicated
as her husband to a thriving and prosperous Kansas.
