Stacy Parkinson is a leader who in her own right has contributed greatly to the quality of life of her fellow Kansans. Stacy is a native Kansan who attended Kansas public schools before graduating from Kansas University in 1981 and from KU School of Law in 1984. As a practicing attorney, Stacy has worked in both the public and private sectors. She has, at one time or another been a precinct committee person, Co-Chair of the Sunflower House “Valentine Gala”, of the University of Kansas Cancer Center “Treads & Threads”, of the Alzheimer’s Association Art Auction”, of the Sunflower House Capital Campaign, of the SAFEHOME Capital Campaign, and was named Co-Citizen of the Year by United Community Services of Johnson County.

Stacy Parkinson is also a successful businessperson who has worked in several enterprises with her husband helping enhance older Kansans’ quality of life through first-class assisted living facilities. The Parkinson’s assisted living facilities have received national recognition for design, and the business has been named as an outstanding business in Northeast Johnson County. Stacy Parkinson is a dedicated wife and mother of three children Alex, Sam and Kit. Stacy includes reading, traveling and running as her hobbies. She also enjoys walking, playing and loving the family's other members, miniature dachshunds "Sunny" and "Windy".

Stacy Parkinson is a down to earth Kansan who is appreciative of the happiness and opportunities that she has received from the state and is as dedicated as her husband to a thriving and prosperous Kansas.
