Q: What are the responsibilities of the Governor?

As the state's Chief Executive, the governor represents all the people and is responsible for safeguarding the public interest. The governor is responsible for establishing goals for the state and to provide state government and the people with leadership, direction and vision.

The Kansas Health Policy Authority provides information regarding Healthwave and Medicaid.

A:You may contact the Department of Revenue tax division at 785-296-3909.

Q: Who can I contact if I am having problems with my driver's license or car title?

The State Department of Motor Vehicles can be reached Tuesday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 
5:00 p.m. at 785-296-3041 or online at www.ksrevenue.org/vehicle.htm.

Q: Who should I call about a consumer complaint?

The Attorney General's Office provides a toll-free consumer protection line. The number is 1-800-432-2310. You can also fill out a complaint online and mail it in from the Attorney General's web site: www.ksag.org/Divisions/Consumer/main.htm.

Q: How can I get a copy of my birth certificate?

Information regarding birth certificates is available through the office of Vital Statistics. Call 785-296-1400 for information or visit the Vital Statistics Web site at www.kdheks.gov/vital/.

Q: How do I register to vote?

Applications to register to vote are available with your county election officer or can be found online at the Secretary of State's Web site at www.kssos.org. Simply fill out the application and mail it to your county election office. Your county election officer will mail you a notice when your application has been processed. You may also register to vote at your local Department of Motor Vehicles.
