Governor Brownback Announces Date for State of the State Address

Topeka – Kansas Governor Sam Brownback announced today he has accepted the invitation of Speaker of the Kansas House of Representatives Mike O'Neal (R-Hutchinson) to deliver his 2012 State of the State address to the Kansas Legislature in the House Chamber on Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at 6:30 P.M.

In accordance with Section 5 of Article 1 of the Kansas Constitution, the governor provides to the Legislature information on the condition of the State.

The State of the State address will be televised live by KPTS-TV and other Kansas television and radio stations. 

Media outlets wishing to attend the address must RSVP to Aly Rodee in the Speaker's office at 785/296-2302 by January 5th.

This will be the 130th State of the State address.
