Kansas Receives Five Proposals for KanCare

Topeka – The state of Kansas today announced that it has received five proposals from integrated care companies to coordinate care of Kansans receiving Medicaid services.

The five integrated care companies that submitted proposals are:

1: WellCare of Kansas - Tampa, FL

2: Sunflower State Health Plan - Topeka, KS

3: United Health Care - Minneapolis, MN

4: Coventry Health Care of Kansas - Wichita, KS

5: Amerigroup - Virginia Beach, VA

“We are encouraged by such broad interest and quality bidders. We look forward to improving the health outcomes of Kansans with our transformed Medicaid program,” said Kansas Lieutenant Governor Dr. Jeff Colyer.

The state will evaluate each of the bids, then move on to contract negotiations.
