Federal S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Grant (S.T.O.P. VAWA)

Federal S.T.O.P. Violence Against Women Grant (S.T.O.P. VAWA)
Purpose To develop law enforcement and prosecution strategies to combat violent crimes against women and to develop and enhance victim services in cases involving violent crimes against women. Grant funds must be allocated as follows:  25% of the funds to law enforcement agencies, 25% for prosecution, 5% to courts, 30% for non-profit victim service organizations and the remaining 15% can be used for discretionary purposes.
Eligible Funds are available to units of state or local government and not for profit organizations. A 26% non-federal cash or in-kind match is required for the entire grant award.
