28 April 2005 Governor Sebelius appoints Topekan to the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission Governor Kathleen Sebelius today announced her appointment of Gerald Lauber to the Kansas Wildlife and Parks Commission. The Wildlife and Parks Commission works to conserve and enhance Kansas’ wildlife and provides Kansans with opportunities for use and appreciation of our state’s natural resources. “Gerald has an excellent reputation as a conservationist,” Governor Sebelius said. “Being a hunter and fisherman, he has a true appreciation of our resources and will make a good addition to the Commission.” Lauber, Topeka, is the president and CEO of the Kaw Valley State Bank and Trust Company. After graduating from Washburn University, he began working at the bank in 1974 as an assistant vice president. During that time, Lauber also committed himself to managing his family ranch in Yates Center. Lauber is a member of Quail Unlimited and the National Wild Turkey Federation. |
