Governor reappoints three to Kansas Board of Barbering

Governor Kathleen Sebelius has reappointed three members of the Kansas Board of Barbering.  Each will serve a three year term.

“It’s important those we trust to take care of our hair are well-trained and properly licensed,” Sebelius said.

The Kansas Board of Barbering ensures only qualified, well-trained barbers and barber instructors are licensed, verifies all shops and salons are properly operating with barber shop licenses, and provides information to Kansans concerning all technical, medical, and scientific data that may enhance the protection of the public.

The reappointed members are Donald D. Barber, Hays, Troy Franklin Jr., Wichita, and Penelope Neill, Topeka.
