Topeka - In accordance with Executive Order 10-12, Kansas Governor Sam Brownback has ordered flags to be flown at half-staff from sun-up to sun-down on Wednesday, May 15th in honor of National Peace Officers Memorial Day.
“Law enforcement officers do demanding jobs in often dangerous circumstances, and some have made the ultimate sacrifice for our communities. They deserve our respect and recognition,” Governor Brownback said.
National Peace Officers Memorial Day was established in 1961 to recognize local, state and federal law enforcement and peace officials.
